🌱 The Sourires d'Afrique Association: A Mission Born from a Smile
Since 2016, the humanitarian association Sourires d'Afrique has been working to provide education to children in Côte d'Ivoire and Burkina Faso. Today, over 70 children are supported through committed volunteers and active sponsorship.
The association was born from a love at first sight for Africa. During a trip to Côte d'Ivoire in 2000, founder Alain Richard was deeply moved by the warmth and smiles of the children. In 2011, his encounter with Ousmane in Burkina Faso was decisive. Touched by his situation, Alain decided to sponsor his education. The idea took shape: to create a lasting support structure for the most vulnerable children.
After several individual sponsorships and field missions, Alain officially founded Sourires d'Afrique in 2016. Since then, the association has been working across four key areas: education, food, health, and housing. Its credo: ""Education changes a life.""
